Cheapest Way to Eat At Disneyland Paris

Can I bring food into Disneyland Paris?

Now it might come as no surprise to say that the cheapest way to eat at Disneyland Paris is to bring food with you into the park. But is it allowed?

The good news is that you can indeed bring food into Disneyland Paris. There is nothing in the Disneyland Paris rules that says you can’t. However there are rules about bringing food into France.

If you are traveling to Disneyland Paris from the UK you need to be aware of all the latest guidance around the import of food into France. Before Brexit you could bring food into France very easily as France and the UK were both part of the EU. However things have changed since Brexit and it is no longer allowed to bring certain foods into France from England (i.e. meat products, dairy for instance. Be sure to check current guidance and exemptions before taking any food products into Europe)

But that doesn’t mean you can’t bring food into the parks it just means you can’t bring it from the UK and will have to do shopping on arrival. The good news is that there are hypermarkets really close to Disneyland Paris.

One stop away from Disneyland Paris on the train or a short drive away is the Val D’Europe shopping Centre which has a huge hypermarket inside called Auchan.

Auchan is the cheapest place to buy food locally to Disneyland Paris and will stock fruit, baby food for those travelling to Disneyland Paris with a baby, milk and great snacks for those visiting Disneyland Paris with toddlers as well as bread and cereal so you can organise breakfast and lunch etc.

However please note that although you can bring food into the parks you can’t take food in in large coolers or wagons as this is against park rules. Therefore if you are bringing food in make sure you have appropriate sized containers such as lunch boxes and amounts that can be easily carried in a backpack.

But what about if you aren’t in a self catering accommodation or if you do want to experience food in the parks?

Cheapest places to eat at Disneyland Paris tips

There is no shortage of places to eat in Disneyland Paris both in the parks themselves and nearby but they all will have different impacts on your budget. The below are our tips for cheapest places to eat at Disneyland Paris

Eat in the Disney Village

Disney Village is the cheapest place to eat that is park adjacent and you will find that it is much cheaper than in the parks themselves. That is because there are a couple of places where you can buy cheaper meals.

The places we recommend in Disney Village for those looking for Disneyland Paris cheap eats are:

  • Starbucks – this is particularly good for breakfast (though do check the opening time and make sure you allow plenty of time to order and eat especially if you are wanting to be in the parks for Extended Magic Hours or for rope drop). We like to grab a coffee and croissant for on the go.
  • McDonalds –ok so you won’t be getting a French cultural experience here but if you want a quick and cheap meal that your kids are sure to eat then you really can’t go wrong with the MacDonalds in the Disney Village. There are both eat in and takeaway options and there are even some menu items that you won’t get in the UK or USA such as the Croque McDo for 3 euros and Macarons for those with a sweet tooth..Happy Meals at the McDonalds cost 4 Euros so is a huge cost saving compared to the Menu Enfants in Disneyland Paris.
  • Earl of Sandwich –another Disney Village option that offers both dine in and takeout options and is great for those on a budget. As the name suggests Earl of Sandwich specialises in sandwiches but the kids options also includes pizza and pasta. Meal deals here are around 8 Euros for Kids and 12 Euros for adults. The prices are slightly cheaper than in the park I find and the options are good. We usually eat here at least once a trip.

And if you are vegan at Disneyland Paris then check out this guide which will cover all your options.

Get a Dining Package

Now if you want to experience more of the sit down restaurants in the park that have a higher price ticket then best thing you can do is either pick just one to splurge on or book your Disneyland Paris vacation with a dining package.

Now we are always on the go in parks and we always want to make the most of our time in the park, especially those Extended Magic Hours for those families staying at Disneyland Paris hotels,so we have never found that the dining package has been worth it for us.

But if you want to eat three meals a day, especially sit down meals a day you may find it is a cost saving to you to book a dining package with your booking.

Eat in Quick Service Restaurants

However if you are on a. budget and aren’t bothered about sit down meals or the character dining the cheapest way to eat is to go to the quick service restaurants.

These restaurants tend to serve fast food and you won’t get table service but they usually will provide budget friendly (compared to other park restaurants). These restaurants usually have a fixed price menu which usually costs around 15 Euros for an adult meal and 9 Euros for a children’s meal depending on the restaurant you are at.

Cheapest Restaurants at Disneyland Paris Park – Casey’s Corner

Now we know the type of restaurants that at cheapest at Disneyland Paris if you are traveling without a dining package we will now list and rank our experiences at some of the cheapest restaurants at Disneyland Paris Parks.

Cafe Hyperion

This Discovery land eatery is perfect for those looking for lunch or dinner near Hyper Space Mountain and Buzz’s Astro Blast. Burger meals here cost between 14 – 20 Euros for adults including a drink and 9 Euros for a children’s menu.

This restaurant has lots of seating so even during peak times such as if you are visiting Disneyland Paris in August or even if you are visiting Disneyland Paris in December you shouldn’t find it too difficult to grab a seat.

Casey’s Corner

This Main Street staple serves hot dogs starting at 10 Euros. We love Casey’s Corner as being on Main Street it is a convenient quick eat for those waiting to watch the parade on Main Street.

The only downside is this one has limited seating but isn’t a problem if you want to takeaway and eat on the street while waiting for the parade.

Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost

Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost is a favourite with my kids. Located in Adventureland this is my kid’s favourite quick ear restaurant because it serves Mickey Pizza (pizza shaped like Mickey’s head).

Adults meals range between 14-16 Euros for the fixed price menu and usually as pasta or Mickey pizza on offer. While kids meals are around 8 -9 Euros for the same.

Cowboy Cookout Barbecue

This cowboy themed restaurant in Frontierland offers takes on burgers, sausages and ribs with meals ranging from 14-20 Euros for adults. We like to head here after a Frontierland meet and greet – usually but not always after we have met Jessie. We like this one as we don’t normally struggle to get a seat here.

Pizzeria Bella Notte

Another Fantasyland eatery where you can get the famous Mickey Pizza.

Restaurant Hakuna Matata

This African themed restaurant in Adventure serves a variety of chicken dishes and meatballs and is a meat lovers dream quick service restaurant.

Toad Hall Restaurant

Another Fantasyland restaurant that offers quick and cheap (for the park) eats. The Toad Hall Restaurant is famed for its Fish and Cheap. This is also great if you are looking for the best vegan restaurants in Disneyland Paris as this is one of the quick service restaurants that serve vegan food – in this case vegan fish and chips.

Note: If you do decide that you would prefer to have a sit down table service meal but don’t want it to cost a fortune then our Disneyland Paris top tip is to head to the Lucky Nugget as this is the cheapest table service restaurant in Disneyland Paris park. Located near Thunder Mesa in Frontier land you can get an adult meal deal for 22 Euros.

In the front lot both the Hep Cat Corner and Restaurant en Coulisse both offer budget quick eats. Hep Cat is more for Snacks while Restaurant en Coulisse offers set menu options and has vegetarian offerings.

At the Avengers Campus both Stark Factory and Super Diner are classed as quick budget eats. Stark Factory offers Pizza and Pasta and is the best vegan food at Disneyland Paris Walt Disney Studios Park as there are a couple of vegan options on the menu.
