Jasper via the Icefields Parkway and Icefields Glacier Experience on the Athabasca Glacier

This morning you’ll depart for Jasper, with a stop at Lake Louise, Canada’s “Diamond in the Wilderness” before continuing on to Peyto Lake known for its bright blue-green color that comes from the significant amounts of glacial rock flour deposited from a nearby glacier. These suspended rock particles, sometimes called glacial milk, provide the lake with its unique color. Travel along the Icefields Parkway toward Jasper National Park, the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. En route, you’ll experience the Athabasca Glacier, the most visited glacier in North America. Travel to the Columbia Icefield and ride the Brewster Ice Explorer to the surface of the Glacier.
