Day 1 - UK to Toronto

Upon arrival into Toronto International Airport, make your way to your overnight hotel, and the remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 & 3 - Toronto, Canada

2 days at leisure to experience the sights of Canada’s largest and most diverse city. We recommend you take a City Tour – highlights include: The Eaton Centre, Chinatown, CN Tower and Old and New City Hall’s with lots of photo opportunities. There is an optional drop off at the Harbour for a boat tour (prices available on request).

Day 4 to 6 - Banff, Canada

Explore more of this beautiful mountain town with its many craft shops, quirky coffee houses and cafes. Take a ride on the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for spectacular 360 degree views over the Bow Valley below and beyond (included)

Day 7 - Rocky Mountaineer Rail Journey from Banff to Kamloops

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the resort town of Banff, or the mountain hamlet of Lake Louise to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Day 8 - Rocky Mountaineer Rail Journey from Kamloops to Vancouver

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Day 9 - Vancouver Sightseeing

Today your tourbegins with an introduction to downtown including Canada Place, and Robson Street. Wind through historic and modern architectural wonders en route to Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre natural oasis, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. View the First Nations Totem Poles, and gaze upon rainforest and shoreline scenery on the way through the park. Get the camera ready for a photo stop at Prospect Point, with a great view of Lions Gate Bridge. Continue to the English Bay beach area, followed by the eclectic Granville Island Market. Top off this adventure with a glass elevator ride 169 metres above the streets, at the Vancouver Lookout, for views of the ocean, the Coastal Mountains, the city and rugged shoreline. This tour is a great introduction to the scenic and historic highlights of Vancouver.

Day 10 - Vancouver, Canada

You have a full days at leisure to explore this amazing city. Choose to relax or go out and about to discover. Take a coffee break and savour a mug of your favourite brew at one of the many coffee shops scattered around the city.

Day 11 - Vancouver - Morning at leisure

Day 12 - Inside Passage Cruising

The dramatic scenery of the Inside Passage has been shaped by glaciers for millions of years. The terrain here is verdant and vivid – mysterious forests blanket the towering mountains

Day 13 - Icy Strait Point, USA

Go whale watching, learn Tinglit tribal customs, buy arts-and-crafts gifts, or fly high above Port Frederick on a 1.6km long zip-rider. Later, tuck into the best ever halibut and chips on the cookhouse deck of historic Hoonah Packing Company cannery.

Day 14 - Hubbard Glacier Cruising

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Day 15 - Juneau, USA

Some sightseeing is best from above. View the majestic Mendenhall Glacier from the East Glacier Loop Trail, or sail 1,800ft aloft via gondola to Mount Roberts. The fresh air’s sure to whet your appetite so try out the local treat - crisp crab cakes.

Day 16 - Ketchikan, Alaska

Experience Eden firsthand. Kayak tranquil saltwater fjords fringed by ancient forests, keeping an eye out for black bear and playful porpoise. Tour the great outdoors by foot or bike, or whiz above ocean shores and never-ending forests by zipline

Day 17 - Cruising the Inside Passage

You'll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage, a complex labyrinth of fjords and bays where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.

Day 18 - Disembark Vancouver

Disembark your cruise ship and make your way to Vancouver Airport for your flight back to the UK
