I used regular garlic. Two cloves and was pretty good!
A couple of modifications and these were a HUGE hit
I have a family who loves burgers but many have Alpha Gal (Tick borne and gives many folks allergy to beef).... so I am always looking for good alternatives. I used 1/2 cup of parsley, garlic scapes instead of fresh garlic, since I had just harvested them from my garden, and Worcestershire Sauce rather than catsup. Added in a hit of red pepper flakes and a bit of panko to hold it all together. Everyone raved about them and the burgers stayed together and were not too dry. Yay.

Made this with additional ground turkey left from another recipe. Particularly good with the ketchup that I had purchased from a vendor at our local farmer's market. Also used vendor's onion confit instead of sliced onion for serving.

Instead of parsley used Justice seasoning and two cloves garlic for green garlic

I'm not sure if i'm supposed to use the entire bulb of green garlic and also if i'm using the green stalk. I just bought green garlic for the first time and i'd like to use the entire thing.

Thanks to other notes I read here, I tightly wrapped my 8 inch springform in tinfoil, and used the convection setting on my oven. The cake is beautiful - it will be hard to wait to try it.

Particularly good with the store brand ketchup I had purchased from Aldi. Served with potatoes chips from same vendor.

wow this was a surprising delish! thought the ketchup would be yuck but kept it moist and flavorful! grating onions was a chore i'll sub with finely minced next time. also added some jalepeno as suggested. no green garlic and regular was fine. be sure to cook it right to 165 and not overcook. great with trader joe's aioli garlic mustard sauce and some red onion hot dog style.

I really like these, they're basically turkey meatloaf burgers. I have made them with both green garlic and garlic scapes, and found both to be excellent alternatives. Will try with regular garlic next, though I imagine they will have less of the meatloaf vibe as I'm sure 1-2 oz will be plenty! Also, with 85% lean ground turkey, these were nice and moist, unlike many turkey burgers. Great weeknight summer burger without any guilt!

This was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Substituted the green garlic with a whole clove of regular garlic and topped the finished burger with guacamole, onion, and a butter toasted multigrain bun. Juicy and flavorful!

Just an FYI, one bulb of green garlic weighs four *grams* not ounces.

I used chopped up celery instead of parsley and it worked fine. The catsup made the sausage brown very quickly so next time I’ll keep the pan cooler.

Very tasty recipe. I added soy sauce and regular garlic to the turkey mixture and grilled the patties. They turned out great

I used 7% fat ground turkey and a clove of garlic instead of the green garlic, which I couldn't find. Other than that one substitution I followed the recipe and was rewarded with delicious burgers! Actually I was surprised how moist and tasty the turkey burger was. I will definitely be making these again
Good burger!
Followed the directions except missed the part of browning the garlic with the parsley and cooked it all at the same time. Was still good.

Sounds like a good recipe to lose weight. No eggs means no fat. Sounds kind of dry to me. I guess that why we're adding onions and ketchup. How about some ground jalapenos? Since I'm not an anti-beef person don't know if i would try this or not? Why not use chicken instead?

What can I substitute for green garlic if I cannot find it in my markets?
